Information Technology (IT) for Construction
With over 30 years of testing for the construction industry, our strength in
this area is rivalled by few in the industry. Providing testing services to
the construction industry over the years have equipped us with a very broad
picture of the industry and its practices.
We currently have an in-house integrated
laboratory system for all our laboratories’ testing operations,
developed back in 1995. It is continually being upgraded.

System Automation
Our engineers are familiar with the integration of computers and machines.
Our concrete compression machines were automated in the early 80s. This
automation also extends to our tensile test machines and bitumen testing
equipment. All these automation were done in-house.
With our experience in test automation, we are able to provide CPG Labs with
the technology to become an industry leader in testing services. This also
puts us in a very strong position to provide system automation consultancy
services.

Instrumentation
Instruments form the backbone of testing. From the analysis of physical
properties like the dimension of a product to the chemical composition of a
test sample, instruments are needed for the test results to make sense. Most
production facilities will require certain instruments for the quality
assurance of their products.
With so many instruments available commercially, it can be a chore finding
the right instrument to satisfy the needs of an organisation in the construction industry for quality assurance.
The lower range ones may not fully satisfy the needs of the organisation and the
higher range ones may pack too many functions that are not required.
In our technology division, we specialise in instrumentation consultancy.
Based on international standards, we are able to provide our Clients with
the information to make the right choices and optimise their expenditure on
instrumentation.
We also provide instrumentation integration, connecting the instruments to
the quality assurance system in our Client's organisation.

System design
Most equipment and instruments are packaged with their own proprietary
software to allow for computer interfacing. Unfortunately, the use of the
software is often based on platforms and data representation that are
different from each other. This makes the collating of data tedious.
Our technology division recognises this fundamental problem and is very
strong in the area of system design and integration. Our experts in the
laboratory specialises in studying the operational workflow, streamlining
the workflow and in designing systems that will aid the workflow.
With our expertise in the above four areas, we are able to provide full
in-a-box system integration for our clients.
