Materials Development
New materials development enables the creation of advanced devices, lightweight load-bearing structures, increasing conservation of power and reducing cost for technological breakthroughs that are changing the way we live, learn, work and play.

The materials engineering section houses a team of experts in materials engineering ready to support the technology division in developing concept materials required by our Clients.





Materials Evaluation
To ensure that the new materials developed are of the specifications required by our Clients, CPG Labs has its own in-house materials evaluation laboratory. At CPG Labs, we not only produce materials specified by our Clients, we make sure that the material is also internationally accepted by known standards.





Building Materials
Materials development is further subdivided into three different areas, the first being building materials.

This section specialises in testing and the research of new load bearing materials, which can possibly replace concrete in some cases, as well as chemical resistance materials for use in structures that are subjected to extreme conditions.

Building repairs materials and recycled materials are also within its areas of interests.





Polymeric Materials
The use of polymers in the construction industry has become more common. Known for its high strength, it is able to strengthen existing structures easily, amplifying their load capacities significantly.

We are able to perform studies on the synthesis, formulation and process development of polymers and evaluate its physical and chemical properties to ensure that the polymers can be used safely as a construction material.






Composite Materials
Fibre composites are materials commonly used in the construction industry. As alternative materials are being developed, studies need to be carried out to assess the effective use of other composites.

We have scientists here that specialises in high performance composite material design, products and process development.

We also have experience in structural repairs, rehabilitation and corrosion protection through the use of composite materials.
