CPG Laboratories

The Materials & Mechanical Testing Department (MMTD) is one of CPG Laboratories’ testing department. As with other testing departments within CPG Laboratories, MMTD is an SAC accredited testing lab.

The Materials section mainly carries out testing on materials such as concrete cubes, hardened concrete, bricks, cores & other precast concrete units. The Mechanical section carries out testing on metallic materials, steel reinforcement bars, cold reduced steel wire, welded steel fabric, high tensile steel wires & strands, galvanized coating on iron & steels and reinforcement steel bar with couplers.

New Testing Offered

The Materials section will soon introduce new testing services on 2 new materials. The materials tested on will be steel fibre reinforced concrete & self compacting concrete.
